Well, August, you had one job to do!!
Summer might not be going out with a bang this year, but we have at least seen some festival action in 2021. And there are a few still to come with some late scheduled and postponed events planned during September. We found this handy list of events which could be equally useful in planning your 2022 diary.
Of course, it’s always possible that September could be of the Indian Summer variety and present some beautiful, warm Autumn evenings. More likely though, are slightly wetter than normal festival grounds and cold nights. Wrapping up warm and creating a cosy campsite are key ingredients if you’re still planning some outdoor living.
We’ve found some lovely ways to make yourself at home, even in the middle of a field. You’ll be the envy of insta with these accessories so get shopping before the winter stock comes in!
1. Soft and snuggly
The Natural Blanket Shop have these amazing wool blankets that will look and feel great wrapped round your shoulders. There are lots of bright colours to help you capture the very last rays of summer sun.
2. Light the way
We’re loving these oversized ‘cloud’ lanterns from Lights4Fun. You’ll spot your tent in the crowd with these solar powered lights which will create a soft, relaxed atmosphere for late night chats and nightcaps back at camp.
3. Arrive in style
One of the least fun elements of camping is getting everything to the site. And, if you’ve got one of the must-have canvas bell tents for a more glamped-up experience, you’ll know that they aren’t lightweight! We found this wonderful bell tent trolley bag at boutiquecamping.com which will be certain to make your arrival much more relaxed.
4. Warm feet, warm heart
Yes, we know the actual saying is about hands but we’re pretty certain if you’ve got cold feet, you’re not going to be feeling the love. So, make sure you address the essentials and get yourself a pair of our much sought-after riding boots. With welted soles and water-resistant leather (with the help of a little wax), your feet are guaranteed to stay warm and dry and you’ll definitely have that classy outdoorsy look when you’re wearing them.
